Grace and peace to you,
I thank you for your continued generous support of our congregation and its various ministries. Through your gifts and offerings we continue to share the message of Jesus Christ throughout our community of Valley Stream and beyond.
We currently find ourselves with the world before us and nothing but opportunity and possibility for what God can and will do through us. None of the work of making disciples can be done by a single person. The ministry that is before us can only be done when we work together to the glory of God. This collective work is supported by our prayers, time, talents, treasure, and our witness. You are a vital part of our congregation, I invite you to consider how God is calling you to serve Christ’s church in a new way. This may not be an easy question answer, but I pray we will individually and collectively be open to the ministry God calls us to. God’s call may lead you in a new direction you have not thought about or return you to a familiar ministry or somewhere in between. No matter how God calls you to serve and give of yourself, all I ask is that you be bold enough to say, “Yes!”
With gratitude for your gifts and hope for the future,
The Reverend Doctor Jeffrey L. Hooker
Your checks can be made out to Grace United Methodist Church and brought to in-person worship, or mailed to the church office, or you can use Venmo or Zelle.
Venmo allows you to make a direct deposit donation to Grace Church electronically. If you are already signed up, you can use this now. If not, it is easy to sign up. Go to Venmo.com or the Venmo app on your smart phone and follow the easy directions. The Church is listed as Grace Methodist VS.
Currently a good number of people in our congregation are using Zelle, which is another electronic way to make a donation. Use the Church email address – GraceVSNY@aol.com. (Do not use the church phone number.) In the memo line notate Regular Offering, Missions, and/or the name of the special offering and note the amount you would like to give for each. If you have an envelope number, please include that as well.
